Veterans Tribute Career & Technical Academy is a good school they prepare us students for front line careers whether that's in law enforcement, criminal justice, 911 dispatch, forensics science and Ems my best part about VTCTA is that I get my certificate for 911 dispatch once I graduate I can work for metro or Henderson here in Las Vegas, NV, I'm grateful for that program because we are the only school that has 911 dispatch and we can work after graduation at those agencies. The worst part about my school is that administration doesn't care about what happens to you if people are bullying you or even on social media they don't want to do anything about it in fact they care more about a lanyard around my neck and there dress code when we speak up about the things that's happening in our school they brush it off like nothing. Don't get me wrong the opportunities are amazing but is it really worth somebody getting bullied and having low self-esteem that can affect them in the long run.

When I started and VTCTA it was during COVID everyone had masks while at school so as for our health, they took it very seriously. I wish that there was more elective choices because after you are a sophmore and get all your main credits out of the way it starts to get boring. I would like to see a change in how the admin acts. They would make unruly dress code on Students of Color mainly African American one which felt very targeted because I was a victim of it many times. They also need to have more diversity awareness when it comes to certain situations.

I am a sophom*ore at Veterans Tribute Career & Technical Academy, and this is my second year at the school. So many unique opportunities flood through our doors, giving students real-world experience in any desired career field. VT prepares you to be the best you can be academically, socially, and physically, with faculty that only want to see you succeed. We learn the values of respect, integrity, and discipline in our school, and develop confidence in public speaking. We are involved with our community partners and are fortunate to get to work with our local agencies. No school is perfect, but the environment created among staff and students of VT is practically a second home to me. I am proud to be a part of the VT community!
