Most (but not all) of the shelters and transitional housing locations in both the city and county will say you need to be referred by the Housing Resource Center, (HRC) so you can save yourself some time by calling the above number or visiting their downtown location first. Sometimes it’s helpful to be there at 8:00 am to be assigned to a shelter for that night. The Housing Resource Center is located in the same building as St. Patrick Center but they are separate agencies.
